Osphranter rufus - Kangaroos are marsupials that can be found across mainland Australia. Female Kangaroos have a pouch (called a marsupium) in which joeys complete postnatal development. They are the only large animals to use hopping as a means of locomotion, using their powerful muscles and large feet to reach speeds up to 70 km/h (43 mph).
